Delay in agent check-in for servers after K Server reboot

Hi everyone. I'm looking for a little help....

Occasionally, we need to reboot our K server - to install security patches, install updates to K modules, install new K modules, install v6.3 upgrade, etc. Our K server is a VMware VM running on pretty nice hardware. Everything meets the specs outlined by Kaseya. Looking at various reports, the server really isn’t breathing hard at all. A reboot happens amazing quickly - probably less than 30 seconds to shut down and less than 60 seconds to start up again and have services running. So I dont think I have a hardware or resource problem.

We have about 175 servers that we manage. ON the VSA->Agent->Configure Agents->CheckIn Control screen, they are configured to check in every 30 seconds. The Bandwidth Throttle is zero (disabled).

Whenever we reboot the k server, the majority of servers show as checking-in with a minute or so. But here's the problem.... its typical for 5 to 10 servers (random servers, not always the same ones) to take 3-5 minutes to show as checking-in. And then there always seem to be 2,3,4 servers (random, not always the same ones) to take 10 minutes to show as checking-in. This exceeds our monitoring limit, which then generates services tickets in ConnectWise for offline servers, and its a pain to clean up. Eventually, they check-in again and all is well.

Something feels wrong to me. Or is this normal, expected behavior?

Any idea why some servers (random, not always the same ones) seem to take 5-10 minutes to check-in again, while others servers seem to check in within 1-2 minutes?

Thanks in advance,

Lloyd
