FYI - Linux Agent v6.3.0.7 has been hotfixed to address several issues via Hotfix #: 5621, including issues related to this forum thread. If not using v6.3.0.7 already, to ensure you have the latest hotfixes applied, with an appropriate VSA user, visit the System > Server Management > Configure page and choose to get latest hotfixes (note - SaaS VSA's will have this hotfix applied on in the Mar-9-2013 maintenance window).
After retrieving latest hotfixes as noted above, visit the Agent > Upgrade Version > Update Agent page. On the Update Agent body page, select the checkbox with the following text next to it and uncheck any other checkboxes:
Force update even if agent is at version X.X.X.X (Where X.X.X.X = The base agent release version of the VSA installation for all 3 agents, and not the latest hotfixed version)
Then press the update agent button. When completed, your already installed agents will then be updated to the latest version. Any new agent installation package downloaded from your VSA website will reflect the latest version as well.
Note - If agents are in need of an update, but are currently offline in the VSA or are not processing agent procedures in a timely fashion, but the machine itself is still online, create a /r-based package, download it, copy it to these machines, and install it this way. You can also run Discovery & LAN Watch scans on computers with agents within those networks & then use the Discovery Install Agents page with this /r package in order to install to those machines as well.
