In reading through the forums I see that this topic has been brought up before with the older versions of AVG. By default you cannot change the scheduled times for definition updates or program updates. I submitted a ticket for this and was told its working as intended. Since a client may request checks more frequently than 4 hours, or less for remote sites with poor internet. I don't see how this can really not be included.
Some of the older threads recommend creating scripts to push custom config files out. Has anyone tried that with the new AVG? Since the alternative seems to be manually logging in to every endpoint I was curious how everyone else is approaching this. Are you manually configuring the updates, leaving as is, or creating custom scripts to adjust the schedules?
