Saw this in a sysadmin usergroup. Wondering if the issue is widespread or not.

If you use Kaseya hold off. There is a known issue that is causing BSOD's boot-looping, and drivers failing. It is hitting all windows systems that I have across different versions and hardware randomly. I have an entire branch office right now that is totally KO'd. Just got off the phone with support (took 4 hours to even get on) and they said they know and are working on it, no ETA yet.
EDIT: Some details as of Tuesday Morning.
Still no clue what the *** Kaseya did here. I am on their SaaS platform for IT Center and they upgraded my server to 6.3 this past weekend. I pushed the 6.3 update to one of our branch offices and half the PC's there were effected. Note this is only after UPGRADING the agent to 6.3. A fresh install didn't do any of this. I also had a few machines that were unaffected. I was able to talk one user through doing a windows system restore and that fixed the issue for about an hour, when they behavior started again. It seems (And this is a guess) that it is messing with the chipset/motherboard drivers in some way. I had a machine that we got back up and the USB ports would die on a non-safe boot. Cleaning and re installing the chipset/mobo drivers fixed the issue. I had another machine come up, but it was crashing on sounds, and uninstalling the on-board sound (this was a laptop) fixed the issue.
Kaseya says that they are working on it, and it is not isolated to us. Given how impossible it was to get a hold of support yesterday, I am going to guess this was a pretty major clusterfuck. It is possible it is SaaS only, or my server node only. But who knows, I would hold off, or make sure you test it a lot. Just be sure to know this hit laptops, desktops, Win XP, 7 32 and 64, and multiple chipsets and manufacturers.
I asked if the person reporting the issue had any links or other supporting data and received this response:
I wish I did. They are really dodging me on this issue and I am pretty pissed. We only have 100 licenses with them so maybe they are blowing me off for bigger fish, but I am not sure. It ended up taking down about 10 machines, all in slightly different ways - which I have mentioned in the post. Once I can actually get in touch with my rep maybe he can shed some light, but he is AWOL.
Sloeber70 replied:
Never saw this happening on our server.... Are you sure this is real 'intel'?
I'm not sure at all, Sloeber70. It's only one report, and in an unrelated forum as well. It's somewhat concerning if true as this user is reportedly experiencing a 10% failure rate on the update with some BSOD bootlooping.
I don't know if this is a "known issue" as reported or if this is an isolated incident where other site-specific or user-related factors might be in play. When I have a question like this, I try to come to the source if possible. That is why I am trying to find out of anyone else has heard about any recent issues with the updates.
