Thanks for the benefit of your experiences, Max and Matt.
I just tried it on a PC with a larger display and you're both right. it does not pop up full screen. It opened up an Internet Explorer window approximately 1024 x 660 pixels on one machine. On another it opened that same window at 804 x 616. Not full screen in either case.
I guess I like the RC's implementation better. But sometimes I want to initiate a chat as a precursor to remoting in. Something like, "Hello, Susan. I understand from your ticket that your browser's not working. Is this a good time for me to remote in to your desktop to see about fixing that?"
Also, why can't it use my name, instead of VNC Viewer. My clients aren't sophisticated enough to know what VNC is and what the VNC Viewer is. One asked me today if I could see her.
As you both pointed out, the chat experience in the VNC is different from LiveConnect.
It all has the appearance of being somewhat assembled from disparate parts which, of course, is true. But, I wish that at least the client's experience was a little more polished.
