Hi ghanssen,

Our upgrade failed. It passes all prechecks and completes the InstallShield portion without issue. Then applies the hotfixes successfully and proceeds to the InstallSchema portion where it throws an exception at 5% ah-lah:

---------------

Fatal MessageSys Error: RunFirst/script/CheckVsaWsService.sql

System Error [0] Message: The type initializer for 'Kaseya.AppFoundation.DataSettings' threw an exception., Location: at Kaseya.AppFoundation.DataSettings.GetSqlConnectionString(String ApplicationName)

--------------

We have done all of the suggestions and retried the install several times on restored servers and as different users, ie Local Admin, Domain Admin, run as Admin.. (restored to v6.2 working state). We lodged a support ticket and had a tecnician log onto our server and do "many things", but that ticket is still open and I haven't heard from anyoone since Friday evening when they told us that. The tech also said he had a developer looking at this.

So basically we are still running 6.2 and looking for answers as to why the reapply schema throws the above exception. Something to do with the DB connectivity it appears.

Interestingly also, as the InstallShield portion of the upgrade completes it changes the status of the KaseyaVSAServer from "Installing" to "Installed" and the version from 6.2 to 6.3. However if we go to the Kaseya login page it states the Version as 6.2.

Also of note possibly, is that at no stage does the installer ask for SQL credentials as suggested in the Installation Notes.

Any help appreciated!
