So i did a little test. Created a text file and filled it with: [ and some text. That worked fine.
Then i copied the content of the hitmanpro log file into my test file. This also worked fine. So this means kaseya can't deal with the type of the log file. I saved the test file as a Unicode file and tried again. This resulted in only getting: ÿþ[
So basicly i have to convert the file to ANSI in order to get it to work. Your TYPE solution might have been the solution to begin with. So i'm going to test if i made a mistake with the type command
