Brian, I had some confusion on this as well since AVG's site states that AVG 2012 is not supported on the new OSes. I was told in this thread community.kaseya.com/.../16995.aspx that the AVG 2012 firewall component does not work on Windows 8/Server 2012, but AVG 2012 installs are supported as long as the firewall is not installed.
