Apologies from the delay in getting you an update - I had asked our Engineering team to let me know the workings of Credential Management and currently it does not support the resetting of passwords of existing user accounts but create an account with a password if it does not exist.
It is not intended to change the password. It will attempt to create the account with the password if it doesn't exist.
It's primary function is to designate the account information that is used by other modules such as patch management. We have received a few inquires about this and I believe we will revisit this in the future.
