Litely agree with you on this. However, having worked with other vendors who have been trying to develop apps for Apple iOS as well, and having just as much difficulty trying to get apple to approve their app, I can see why this is. Once again, too much control by apple (they're getting in their own way again).
Now looking at the new Win 8 series of devices (Smart phones, tablets, and desktop OS), I see a BIG threat to apple rising up. Frankly, I like what I've been playing with on the Win 8 phone. Only issue I have with it right now is lack of Apps and battery life (hey, same issue I had with the iPhone when it first came out!). HOwever, I do understand that developing apps for Windows platform is a hell of a lot easier than Apple's, so I expect within 1 year to see people starting to switch away from iPhones and move to Windows phones (or Droid for similar reasons). So once again, Apple leads the way with breakthrough tech/solution, doesn't know what to do after breaking through, and the others that follow knowing what to do and doing it. Leaving Apple looking dazed and confused.
On a different note, Kaseya, are you guys working on a Win 8 Smartphone agent? If not, you really need to do so.
