I have had a couple of requests from customers who wants us to monitor certain application usages, for instance the really expensive Adobe CS suite. They want to know which users are using the applications frequently.
An idea was to let Monitor run a script upon process "up" i.e. Photoshop.exe - and then update some sort of counter.
Does anybody have a procedure for this? I've seen on the Kaseya roadmap that "Software Metering" is coming, but I need a quick-and-dirty fix for this now.
If there is a way to not only count times (and dates) the application was started, but also for HOW LONG they where open - that would be great.
And then somehow get this into a Custom Field or by other means into a report/report part.
