Yes I am using the latest java based KLC within Chrome. The keys did work after hotfixing to that latest KLC version, but stopped a few weeks later.
TAB still works within a remote session, so I wasn't sure if there was some option or switch that had disabled CTRL.
Ill open a ticket.
